Seneca Trail Flooding and Bypass

A section of the Seneca Trail, 3/4 of a mile south of County Road 41, south of Ganondagan, at the "Apple Farm Bridge," is currently flooded due to a beaver dam and heavy rains. But a temporary bypass trail and bridge has been created and is open.

This is thanks to generous neighboring landowners, and volunteers from VHT and a number of other trail organizations. This effort was led by TrailsRoc. Thank you all!

Also in the works is a new boardwalk section over the flood at the old bridge. It is being built as an Eagle Scout project, and could very much use contributions.

The new, blue blazed alternative section is open, but not of much use with this bypass.

Here is the old bridge, the new bridge, and map of the closed section and the new bypass and blue alternative. Map of Seneca showing flooding at Apple Farm bridge
