Conklin Gully Hike 8/13

On Saturday, August 13th, Victor Hiking Trails will lead a strenuous hike up Conklin Gully and in the High Tor Wildlife Management Area in Naples, NY. Hikers will wade in the creek, climb waterfalls and wander around High Tor on the Finger Lakes Trail, Bristol Branch and other trails. This strenuous hike will cover about six miles in approximately 4 hours.

Meet at Victor Town Hall rear parking lot, 85 East Main Street, at 8:00 a.m. to carpool to the trailhead. The hike will start at 9:00 a.m. from the High Tor trailhead parking area on NY 245 just south of Parrish Hill Road. Dress for the weather, wear water shoes or hiking boots that you do not mind getting wet. The latter half of the hike will be on trails, so bring a change of socks and/or dry shoes to change into after leaving the stream bed. Please bring something to drink and a snack as this is a relatively long hike to go without fluid intake and food. This will be a great, strenuous hike for the whole family if everyone is up for a challenge.
