This footpath is on the bed of the Rochester and Eastern Interurban trolley. It has a surface of small cinder, dirt and grass. It consists of several distict sections each with its own personality.

West to East

Fishers Main Street to Omnitec Place

The Trolley Trail begins at The Iron Butterfly parking lot on Main Street Fishers. It uses sidewalks along Main Street Fishers and NY96 to the sidewalk entrance to the Victor Inn – Best Western, and goes through that parking lot to Omnitec Place which it goes along away from NY96.

Omnitec Place to NY251

The Trolley Trail leaves Omnitec Place (between Phillips Rd and NY96). It crosses the Lehigh Trail at the north side of Lehigh Crossing Park. It is primarily through woods, and connects with the park trails. It crosses Irondequoit Creek. The section from the bridge to NY251 is through woods and along side a stream which is prime beaver country.

It has a dirt and grass surface, 2- to 3-feet wide.

NY251 to Seneca & Auburn Trails

Crosses Victor Mendon Rd (251)

Here the Trolley footpath parallels the multi use Auburn Trail. There are several cross links between them. For a while, the Seneca Trail joins the Trolley. This section ends at the Seneca just where it meets the Auburn. It has a dirt and grass surface, 2- to 3-feet wide.

Typical Trolley Trail parallel with Auburn Trail

Seneca Trail to School St.

In this gap in the Trolley Trail, use the Auburn Trail, Rawson Rd., and School St.

School St. to Maple St.

Here the Village of Victor has improved the trail to hard black top, 8-feet wide. It crosses both Great Brook and the rail road track.

Maple St. to Brace Rd. and Victor Municipal Park

Again this is grass surface, some woods, some open sections, and some meadow. For a while, it parallels Great Brook. It is 3- to 6-feet wide. There can be some puddling after wet weather. There are several branch trails in Victor Municipal Park. There is a branch trail with an entrance from East St.

East St. Branch Entrance

This is a short spur entrance trail. See above.

Plans

We hope ultimately have the missing link west of the Village opened. Also, at the east end, a connection from Victor Municipal Park back to the Auburn Trail.
